Two centuries ago, Notting Hill was little more than wasteland. It was only in 1840 that the area became more residential at the time when Notting Hill was known as the Potteries or the Piggeries after the 3:1 ratio of pigs to people! Today the Notting Hill Community Church is situated in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of Notting Hill and welcomes all with activities for children, young people and adults. It houses a gorgeous new Boston grand piano.
