10 Magical Days on Wimbledon Common

Wimbledon BookFest is a festival celebrating the arts and culture. It takes place on Wimbledon Common from 29 September to 9 October and this year the festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary.

This year’s highlights include Jeremy Paxman, Kate Atkinson, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Nick Clegg, Clare Balding and Deliciously Ella. Children’s authors include Michael Morpurgo, Emily Gravett and Oliver Jeffers.

The Food of Love

Featuring Emmanuella Reiter, viola & Sophia Rahman, piano

Viola sings sweet melodies/ Romance, love songs, a pair beset/ A concert of love and jealousies/ Romeo and Juliet.

We welcome you to Shakespeare's do/ Feuding families few we've found/ No Capulets or Montagues/ They're calmed by Bach to Baby's sound!

Doors open at 10.00am. Concert lasts for about an hour.

About the concerts

Bach to Baby is the critically acclaimed classical concert series for babies, toddlers and their carers. Tots dance, roam about and revel in the wonder of live music, while you take a moment out of your busy day to hear top notch performances by outstanding musicians, with your young babes in tow.

Doors open 30 mins prior to the concert, giving you time to ditch the buggy, grab a coffee, and catch up with friends before the performance.

2016 marks the 10th anniversary of Wimbledon BookFest. Festival Director Fiona Razvi says, "We are so proud of how BookFest has grown in 10 years and how the Wimbledon Community has really embraced it. We are working on ensuring that BookFest 2016 is the best yet with an exciting and stimulating programme."
