Julia White, oboe

Julia White's playing has taken her all over the world. She performed with Santiago Philharmonic Orchestra, Chile from 2007-9, and works regularly for Cunard and P&O giving recitals on cruise ships worldwide. Julia has given a number of concerto performances with British orchestras, including Strauss' Oboe Concerto at St. John's, Smith Square, London, and was reviewed as an 'ideal interpreter' of the work. She has recorded as a soloist on the Oboe Classics label, and as a session player for British and Scandinavian television. Julia is experienced in providing interactive music for all ages, and gives concerts for Music in Hospitals & Care and ARCH, including in intensive care wards for the ICUHear scheme.

Katharine Lam, piano

Katharine Lam has established a distinguished profile throughout the UK and abroad as recitalist, concerto-soloist, chamber musician and accompanist. Following her London recital, she made her debut as soloist with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in 2004 at Symphony Hall, Birmingham. The Birmingham Post praised her playing for its "glittering panache and terrific aplomb. Definitely the highlight of the evening."Her solo recitals throughout Britain have featured a wide and diverse repertoire, including contemporary piano music. She has performed a broad range of chamber music and has appeared in major festivals and innovative community outreach projects. Katharine is a sought after music educator and is a member of the piano faculty at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
