About the venue

Ranked as one of the most beautiful churches in London by The Times, St. Peter's church sits on the east end of Eaton Square, Belgravia. A 'chapel of ease', it was built in order to reach out to the poor in the heavily populated marshy area around Victoria Station, just beyond the walls of Buckingham Palace. Fundraising for the building led to donation from Queen Victoria, on the grounds that she was a parishioner. It was rebuilt after an arson attack in 1987, and what remains from the original church is the grand Georgian portico. The interior is bright and includes a stunning gold mosaic just behind the altar, making it a most extraordinary venue for Bach to Baby concerts.
