The Bass in the Ballroom

Featuring Andrew Kershaw, tuba & Alan Gout, piano

We’re picking up good vibrations - there’s a bass in this ballroom! From triumphant tunes to toe-tapping dances, prepare for a sumptuous celebration of the versatility of the brass family’s biggest brother. Not an oom pah in sight!

Spring to Spring

Featuring Dominika Rosiek, violin & Miho Sanou, piano

From brook to brook, to the birds, bees and butterflies, we rejoice the return of Spring. Nature reawakens to the chirping of Vivaldi's masterpiece Four Seasons and the energetic violin sonata by Beethoven in an ode to new life and new beginnings.

Carnival of the Animals

Featuring Charis Hanning, piano & Matthew McCombie, piano

Come one, come all to see the animals big and small. Join the regal lion, the dancing elephant, the cuckoo in the wood, the tortoise who knows how to beat the hare, the fossils (no, Mummy's not that old), the bouncy kangaroo and the long-eared donkey, as our pianists bring you the glorious music of Saint-Saëns. All that, plus your favourite nursery rhymes to finish, of course!

Fluting Around the World

Featuring Fergus Davidson, Flute

It took Phileas Fogg eighty days, but flautist Fergus Davidson will whisk you around the world in under an hour. Flute and toot with us across the continents as we meet the instruments from baby piccolos to Indian Bansuris.

Bach to Baby is the critically acclaimed classical concert series for babies, toddlers and their carers. Tots dance, roam about and revel in the wonder of live music, while you take a moment out of your busy day to hear top notch performances by outstanding musicians, with your young babes in tow.

Doors open 30 mins prior to the concert, giving you time to ditch the buggy, grab a coffee, and catch up with friends before the performance.

About the venue

Bach to Baby is delighted to present its concerts at Mycenae House, a historic building within the grounds of beautiful public gardens in the Blackheath Westcombe Ward in South East London that was initially a novitiate house for the order of the Little Sisters of Assumption. Today it is a hub of community activity with up to 2,500 visitors per week. Explore the gardens and grounds shared with Woodland House, which is the home to the Greenwich Steiner School and visit the in-house cafe for a spot of lunch or an energising coffee.
