About the venue
Downing Place URC lies at the very heart of Cambridge, just moments from Parker's Piece and the city centre. Formed from the union of two long-standing congregations, the church reopened in 2021 after a stunning renovation that filled its 19th-century building with light, warmth, and space for community and music to flourish. It's a beautiful setting for Bach to Baby family concerts, where parents and children can enjoy live performances amid the city's rich artistic heritage. After the concert, families can wander into the historic city, enjoy a picnic on Parker's Piece, or head to the Mill Road for a post concert café trip. Blending modern design with historic charm, Downing Place URC is a vibrant and welcoming home for families to experience the joy of music in Cambridge. |
