Sounds - Old and New

Featuring Martin Lawrence, horn & Joanna Lawrence, piano

Old tunes from around the world, new sounds from out of this world! The masterful Lawrence duo showcases instruments old and new, primitive to electronic. Hear amazing sounds from ancient shells via violin and horn to the magical space-age theremin.

Doors open at 11.00am. Concert lasts for about an hour.

Master of the Keys

Featuring Madalina Rusu, piano

Soar into the Bach to Baby Summer season as 10 fingers buzz busily over 88 black and white keys! Hang on tight as the Master of the Keys past and present take you on a joyride through musicscapes near and far. Watch out for a nursery rhyme or two!

Doors open at 11.00am. Concert lasts for about an hour.

About the concerts

Bach to Baby is the critically acclaimed classical concert series for babies, toddlers and their carers. Tots dance, roam about and revel in the wonder of live music, while you take a moment out of your busy day to hear top notch performances by outstanding musicians, with your young babes in tow.

Doors open 30 mins prior to the concert, giving you time to ditch the buggy, grab a coffee, and catch up with friends before the performance.

St. Michael and All Angels Church was designed by the famous late-Victorian architect Norman Shaw, as the centrepiece of Bedford Park - the world's first garden suburb - the church boasts a remarkable interior and maintains the strong Bedford Park artistic tradition, staging many concerts in the Church ranging from choral to intimate chamber music.
