Alexandra Callanan
Rochester-based bassoonist Alexandra Callanan is thrilled to bring Bach to Baby to the Kent area. As a mum of two boys (and now a girl who came to her first concert at 3 weeks old!), Alex firmly believes in the important role music plays in the development of children's imagination, memory, cognitive skills and musicality.

As a musician, Alex enjoys a successful freelance career that sees her performing with many orchestras including the BBC Symphony, BBC Philharmonic, BBC Concert, City of Birmingham Symphony, London Concert and Brighton Philharmonic Orchestras, Welsh National Opera, London Opera Players, London Concertante, and Opera Project. As part of The Thorne Trio, Alex is heard up and down the country in recital and education workshops.
