The UK’s first large-scale orchestral concert for ages 0+ launches the exciting partnership between Bach to Baby and the London Mozart Players
Bach to Baby teams up with London Mozart Players!
Bach to Baby is thrilled to be teaming up with one of Europe’s finest chamber orchestras the London Mozart Players to bring you the UK’s first large-scale orchestral concert for ages 0+ this December!
On 3rd December 2016 Bach to Baby and London Mozart Players are presenting Magnificent Mozart - two orchestral concerts suitable for children from their very earliest moments. The concerts will be held at the LMP’s stunning new home St John the Evangelist at 2pm and 4.15pm, with our very own Miaomiao Yu performing the much-loved Andante from a movement of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.21 as part of this exciting all-Mozart programme.
We believe this is a match made in heaven as the LMP share our vision of bringing world-class musical experiences to families right on their doorstep.
With over 40 concerts every month across London and the South East enjoyed by the whole family, and sold-out concerts at Buckingham Palace and the Royal Albert Hall, we wanted to bring Bach to Baby audiences a thrilling new classical music experience - a 22-piece orchestra!
And what better partner than the London Mozart Players? As one of Europe’s finest chamber orchestras, LMP is internationally renowned for outstanding live performances and a long history of association with many of the world’s finest conductors and soloists.
Bach to Baby founder Miaomiao Yu said ‘As a mother and pianist I see the awe and wonder in babies and young children when they hear classical instruments played by outstanding musicians for the first time at our concerts, and the joy families get from sharing great live music together. So I am absolutely thrilled that Bach to Baby is going to introduce the wondrous sound of an internationally-renowned orchestra to babies, children and their families across London.”
LMP Executive Director Julia Desbruslais said, “Part of the LMP's vision is to make world-class classical music accessible to everyone, building new audiences and reaching diverse communities with live performance. Having embedded the LMP into a living community at St John the Evangelist in Upper Norwood, our collaboration with Bach to Baby opens the doors to families, and very young children, giving them all the chance to experience the thrill of live classical music played by an internationally renowned orchestra, within striking distance of their homes.”
