Featuring Martin Lawrence, horn & Grace Mo, piano

Make way for the regal resonance of the French horn! From the soothing tones of Schubert’s Ave Maria to Wagner’s Tristan and Isolde, we’ll have as many twists and turns in store as the horn itself. And of course, the conch and the hosepipe as you’ve never heard it before!

From brook to brook, to the birds, bees and butterflies, we rejoice the return of Spring. Nature reawakens to the chirping of Vivaldi's masterpiece Four Seasons, Dvorak's sonatina for his children inspired by the New World, and the energetic violin sonata by Beethoven in an ode to new life and new beginnings.

Carnival of the Animals

Come one, come all to see the animals big and small. Join the regal lion, the dancing elephant, the cuckoo in the wood, the tortoise who knows how to beat the hare, the fossils (no, Mummy's not that old), the bouncy kangaroo and the long-eared donkey, as our pianists bring you the glorious music of Saint-Saëns. All that, plus your favourite nursery rhymes to finish, of course!

Bach to Baby is the critically acclaimed classical concert series for babies, toddlers and their carers. Tots dance, roam about and revel in the wonder of live music, while you take a moment out of your busy day to hear top notch performances by outstanding musicians, with your young babes in tow.

Doors open 30 mins prior to the concert, giving you time to ditch the buggy, grab a Monmouth coffee, and catch up with friends before the performance.

About the venue

St. John of Jerusalem church sits in the leafy surrounds of Victoria Park Village. It was designed by Edward Charles Hakewill and built in 1848 in what's called the Early English Gothic revival style. The church is situated a stone's throw from the wonderful Victoria Park - a perfect place to go for a post-concert romp with its fantastic playgrounds, lakes and pavillon cafe.
