About the venue

St Michael and All Angels is the largest church in Walthamstow. This grand and commanding brown and red brick building was built in the Early English style in 1885 to serve the area of St. James's parish north of the Great Eastern railway. Although the church was damaged by bombing during the Second World War it was completely restored following the war and now stands tall and proud within the local neighbourhood. Whilst enjoying the concert, look up and admire the particularly lofty nave and chancel and after a morning of glorious music wander back towards Walthamstow Town Square to explore the gardens for a run around or browse the variety of shops and cafes.
