The Mighty Cimbalom

Featuring Janos Kallai, cimbalom & Andrs Lovaszi, double bass

Which wooden box would you play by striking with a hammer?
Its strings they ring throughout the day; it causes quite the clamor!
A dulcimer? I am not sure. A zither's neither hither.
It won't be long, so do keep calm, it's the Mighty Cimbalom!

Doors open at 3.30pm. Concert lasts for about an hour.

About the venue

All Saints' Church rose, quite literally, from the ashes - the church was gutted by a fire in June 2000 and opened again at Easter 2006 after extensive rebuilding, its walls and pillars deliberately left showing the scars of the flames. The church has a rich history, but is now a liberal catholic centre for the Dulwich Community and nestled between Brockwell Park and Belair park, there is lots to do with the little ones following a Bach to Baby concert. Don't forget to treat yourself with a stop at Romeo Jones, a kitch cafe that is rumoured to have "the finest coffee in the neighbourhood", not to mention delicious cakes!
