Bach to Baby is delighted to bring our acclaimed family concerts to Windsor Castle for two unique events this autumn and Christmas. Join us in September as we take part in Royal Collection Trust’s spectacular family festival: Knights in Training Day, taking place in the grounds of Windsor Castle. In December we return for special festive concerts for the whole family to enjoy in the exquisite setting of St George’s Chapel.
Saturday 2 September

Knights in Training Day
Moat Garden, Windsor Castle

My Lady Greensleeves

Jousting, sword skills, falconry and more; there’s so much to do when training to be a Knight! Take time to appreciate the finer qualities of the medieval court and enjoy a Bach to Baby family concert in the tranquillity of Windsor Castle’s Moat Garden. Here you can listen to courtly love songs played on the lute, recorder, cittern, medieval fiddle and renaissance guitar, just as King Henry VIII himself would have heard them.

Entry to these concerts, and all events taking place as part of the Knights in Training Day, is included with a Windsor Castle standard admission ticket for Saturday 2nd September 2017*, available through the Royal Collection Trust website. Don’t forget to convert your day admission ticket to a 1-Year Pass, which gives 12 months’ complimentary admission to Windsor Castle.

Bach to Baby will be performing 3 mini-concerts throughout the Festive Day, with performances starting at 10:30am, 11:30am, and 1:00pm.

About the venue

Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and offers an extraordinarily rich and varied day out for all the family. Take time to explore the State Apartments, marvel at King Henry VIII’s enormous suit of armour made nearly 500 years ago, and discover the battlements, towers, arrow loops and murder holes that can all be found around the Castle Precincts. Throughout its history, Windsor Castle has been redecorated, enlarged and rebuilt. Today, The Queen spends most of her private weekends at the Castle, which is also used regularly for ceremonial and State occasions.

Bach to Baby is thrilled to bring our family concerts to such a remarkable and historic setting.
