Lenham's Grade I listed tithe barn is the largest of its kind in the UK and was built at the end of the 14th century. Sitting in the heart of the Kent countryside in the beautiful Lenham village near Maidstone, the barn has become a wonderful rustic venue for open air theatre, markets and community festivals. It is such a special and unique place, perfect for the fun, uplifting and inspiring world of Bach to Baby. Where better to soak up world class music!
Bach to Baby is delighted to return to Layer Marney Tower, for The Roman River Festival. The Tower, known as Englands tallest Tudor gatehouse, provides an impressive backdrop for this curated chamber music event.
Admission to the Layer Marney Tower and gardens is included with your ticket, so make a day of it and enjoy the gardens and grounds which boast fabulous views across the county as well as outdoor play facilities for children, and a chance to say hello to Layer Marney's loyal goats and sheep which will be wandering freely around the grounds.

Bach to Baby has been part of various family events at Windsor Castle, from outdoor concerts in the idyllic Moat Garden as part of the Knights in Training family day, concerts on the romantic band stand at royal wedding celebration, The Wedding Bells of Windsor, to magical Christmas concerts in the awe inspiring St. George's Chapel.
Taking place across Canary Wharf's parks, plazas, and open spaces, Festival14 saw Canary Wharf burst to life with a packed programme spanning music, theatre, dance, comedy and childrens activities, including a joyous Bach to Baby concert!
It was a huge honour to work with the Royal Collection Trust in 2022 to create a once-in-a-lifetime family day out to celebrate the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Our audiences were invited to explore the State Rooms, see the dazzling Platinum Jubilee exhibition and enjoy a Bach to Baby concert in the interactive Family Pavilion overlooking the Palace Gardens. A day that all who attended will never forget.
A royally special series! Since 2015, Bach to Baby has been collaborating with the Royal Collection Trust to bring inspiring concerts to audiences at The King's (formerly The Queen's) Gallery, Buckingham Palace. These intimate concerts are designed to compliment the exhibitions at the gallery and sell out in minutes. A must do in your little prince or princess's social diary!
It's not often you get to perform in one of the UK's oldest and most famous historic buildings, and a World Heritage Site to boot! Bach to Baby created these super special concerts in the magical atmosphere of the Western Crypt in the run up to Christmas.
Rambert is Britain's oldest dance company, first performing in 1926 and considered the birthplace of British ballet. Today, Rambert is at the cutting edge of contemporary dance. Bach to Baby and Rambert collaborated to create a new cross-arts programme based on Saint Saens' beloved Carnival of the Animals. The performance took place in the state of the art Rambert studio on the banks of the Thames.
It dawned on us that the UK had never seen a large-scale orchestral concert aimed at ages 0+, so we collaborated with the London Mozart Players to make it happen. This was a natural partnership between two organisations with matching synergies; bringing outstanding, world-class musicians to local communities in an accessible, welcoming and professional environment.
In summer 2021, we donned our floral frocks for the garden party to end all garden parties! The Royal Collection Trust asked Bach to Baby to host a series of harp concerts at the first ever opening of the Palace gardens. The public were invited to enjoy their own picnics on the lawn and treated to ice cream. We didn't want to leave!
The Royal Albert Hall, undoubtedly the UK's (perhaps the world's) most iconic music venue, invited Bach to Baby to run a series of family-friendly concerts in the Elgar Rooms. These interactive concerts mixed the perfect balance of family fun with top notch live music.
We have been working with Canary Wharf Arts since 2015, when we performed in their stunning Speigeltent- a huge travelling tent decorated with mirrors and ornate paintings, creating a fantastical experience for the whole family. In 2023 we are part of the Festival14 open-air event.
Great music is often inspired by great literature, so Bach to Baby jumped at the chance to create a Shakespeare themed family-friendly programme, 'If Music be the Food of Love', at this popular literary festival, introducing music inspired by the bard to all ages.

Camp Bestival is the cream of the family-friendly festival crop. The Glasto of family festivals! Bach to Baby peformed in the Big Top, offering sunrise and sleepy-time concerts, adapting the music to suit the mood of the children and their families.
The Big Feastival is a delectable mix of music, family fun and - you guessed it - outstanding food at Blur bassist Alex James' Cotswolds farm! Bach to Baby featured in its Family lineup on an idyllic summer's day, alongside acts including Justin Fletcher, Bluey and Silent Disco. If music be the food of love ... have both.
To support the opening of the new World Gallery, which celebrates human creativity and imagination, we presented a fundraising concert with a delicious programme of 'Around the World in 60 Minutes' in the glistening glass conservatory, overlooking the stunning garden.
As part of the Heritage Open Day celebrations at Fetcham Park, local families were treated to an idyllic Bach to Baby concert in the Salon, followed by icecream and picnic on the grounds, plus a ginormous bouncy castle!
Sir John Soane, one of Britain's most influential architects, designed and built Pitzhanger Manor as his dream country retreat in what was then rural Ealing. He built Pitzhanger to showcase his skills, but first and foremost it was a place of entertainment, where he could host clients and influential friends at dinners and garden parties. Bach to Baby delighted in creating bespoke programmes that highlight the beauty of the Drawing Room, allowing our audience to time travel to the Regency period in style.
The Foundling Museum shares the moving history of The Foundling Hospital, Britain's first home for abandoned children. Our combined family-friendly forces created a series of monthly concerts for local families and nurseries in the stunning Picture Gallery, as part of the Museum's learning programme. Concert audiences were invited to explore the fascinating collections - from the touching identifying tokens left by mothers to one of Handel's original Messiah manuscripts.
We loved stepping back in time at our monthly concerts in the intimate Music Room at the historic Burgh House. A hidden gem, tucked away in the winding streets of Hampstead. Built in 1704, Burgh House offers a welcoming space for all to enjoy art, concerts, workshops and history. The Bach to Baby series encouraged more young families to explore the house.
