Miaomiao and the team
While there are plentiful Christmas family shows and activities across the capital, Surrey and the Thames Valley, many are geared towards older children and not always ideal for toddlers and babies. So we've scoured London and the South East for magical experiences that work for your very littlest ones ... and you! And you'll be happy to hear that several are free or more budget-friendly.
We've hand-picked our favourite festive things to do with a baby or toddler near some of our concert locations, so you can plan a fun-packed festive day out that will give you all the Christmas feels.
Sound like a holly jolly plan? Let’s go! 🛷

Begin with a festive Bach to Baby concert at Reading Minster - carols, seasonal faves, and plenty of wriggling for little ones. After the final bow, pop next door to Coffee Under Pressure (C.U.P!) for dark, milk or white hot chocolate (marshmallows encouraged!), then take a gentle stroll to Artology Studio to paint mugs, plates, baubles, or treasure boxes. Add names in swirly script, snowflakes, or holly sprigs for gift-ready magic. Weekends can book up quickly, and firing times vary seasonally (often around 1–2 weeks), so check Artology’s current turnaround if you need pieces under the tree.
